Here are the top reviews of the African sites which I like the best. The reviews are a continuation of a series here, to comment and write about the African cyberspace. I will call it African Reviews. Sounds lame I know.
Number 10: iJol: The Event finder
A site which not many people know about, but exists. it is a sort of event finder for the people of the land of South Africa. The layout is hot, the service average and whatever is hot you’ll get it here. ( Given you are in south Africa.. oops)
I like this review for its short, kinda rude and point blank to the point.
Number 9: Twac review: Media sharing site
The people of Twac are like the Google team in South Africa. They are passionate serious and innovative. That is mostly from what I know. The little I know.Twac is a South African media sharing site, which means a Youtube, Flickr and Myspace just shoved into one. The review isn’t too bad, is truthful but a bit rough around the edges.
Number 8: An African Search Engine
One of the few posts talking about an African search engine. Props to it. A bit edgy and descriptive but with a lot of heart and focus.
It covers whatever you don’t know about African search engines, and where they are based that sort of thing.
Number 7: Mybrown.ning.com an African social network

Reviewing what Kenya has to answer to about myspace and facebook. Cool, hot, insightful, analytical and deep. You have to question ask and wonder.
Mybrown.ning.com is a site close to our heart since it is sponsored by tlcstudio, may it rock on.
Number 6: Muti: African Social bookmarking
What would happen when Digg or Reddit came to South Africa. Muti is what would happen, with one of the most prolific and big Internet traffic in Africa. Worth checking out… or not.
Muti has all the things you would love about a social bookmarking site. The people, the community and the support. I like Muti.
Number 5: Afrovibe: Socially share videos and music
Nigeria’s answer to Youtube and everything concerning music. The site has some other not so nice layout and boring content somewhat. but myvideo struck a nerve.
number 4: Jujunation: Nigerian media sharing site
JUJU means magic in Nigeria. This site also short a bit for me, but it didn’t for others.
Number 3: Africa + Aggregator = Afrigator
Afrigator is the technorati, Google blog search in Africa. They monitor and review all the blogs in this neck of the woods. Afrigator is very new, only started back in 2007. What took so long, find out here.
Number 2: Blueworld ( South African Social network): Site Review
Blueworld is pretty interesting. We have a minor crush on it for some reason. It is an South African social network which hasn’t exploded yet, but who cares.
The name is hilarious and we like the simplicity. We hate however they’re lack of features or apps like in facebook. Read more
Number 1: African Social Networks
The mysterious world of African Social Networks.
Update: A few reviews listed above have been deleted or removed, but the post is still relatively useful.
