The Top 6 South African Social Networks A Review
Here is a list of the South African Social Networks, and sites from South Africa with a social element to them. Below is a list of the most prolific and well known South African social networks.
Zoopy is a site from South Africa, which allows you to share photos and some few other stuff. They have a funny interesting logo, but whats better is they’re content and activity. the site is for that person looking for clip which show what South Africa is all about and where it is going.
Of course it doesn’t measure up to super giant flickr but they do try. Check out tlc studios review of zoopy.
Myvideo is a site which sets itself up as the Youtube of South Africa. Again the I think the layout sucks, to tell the truth. Not being rude but i expected better because myvideo should have only the best. They have some cool videos which do show the African flavor a bit, but I was left a bit unsatisfied.
Last time I was there they had videos of hot models, sadly they were in Afrikaans. My-video everyone. Check out they’re review here
Twac: South African Social Media Sharing Network
Twac is a direct competitor to Myvideo. Again don’t like the layout and clustered home page, but apart from that twac is not so bad. They seem to have some cool features and have the backing of some powerful people with lovely wallets.
Twac has been here for a bit, in web terms, will they be here for longer, check out this review for opinions.
Blueworld: South African Social Network
I didn’t join. blueword has a blue background. I am not absolutely sure what to make of them about now. Hey! I got told something from a cool guy from there
“Hey, thanks for the review.
About the BW name – there is a long story behind it and we didnt choose it as we bought the business over when it was still still born. Blueworld Communities is our business which owns blueworld.co.za, zoopedup.com and gaypeers.com
The new Blueworld is also on its way launching mid this month.. Cant wait to show you that one Thanks again” from Charl
I have to say that was a cool comment, loved the gaypeers part, and the new blueworld. Seems like they’re being upgraded cool. Good luck to them. Normal blueword review here
Afrigator: Africa’s Blog Aggregator
Afrigator is a site I can’t say much about, except thank you. These guys send me a fair bit of traffic, more than technorati so thanks. I have doubts about the name, but Afrigator I am sure will grow, review is here.

I don't know if you have checked out Nick Duncans Myscoop.co.za but we are getting an increasing amount of traffic from this aggregator as well and with Amatomu being up and down, this is becoming increasingly important for me.
