Internet speeds in Africa

Internet speed in Africa slow, and the above video is an example of how you  would feel if you were here.

It is a tad hard to most guys who here who have anything they try to do online. It covers African bloggers and African web entreprenuers, and guys who love the net here.

This is not likely no change for about a few  years until the EASSy cable is set up, whih will be not until 2010,  which is going to be a while. So I have to deal with

  • It taking 20 minutes to upload a youtube video
  • Waiting minutes for a page to a load.
  • Waiting for days to download an illegal torrent file.
  • My browser ( mostly firefox) giving up on me when some pages are huge. 

Whats the point of this post.

Nothing much. Any way a tip, listen to loads of music. Everything is better with music.
